Names/Sentiment CUP Cards

Hello Crafters:
I'd like to share some DL Names/Sentiment CUP Cards with you.  They are quick, fun, colourful and easy to make.  You choose the base cardstock colour and adhere the main image to it, then cut out the decoupage part and raise with foam pads.  You can add your own gems, pearls, bows or any embellishment that you would like to add.
The designer's name is at the top of her group of cards and if you click on her name, it will take you to her page on the Crafts-U-Print Site
I hope you like them and will give it a try ....... the designers are very willing to make a card with the name you would want if you can't find one there.

Happy Summer Crafters

Oh dear, I have certainly been a little negligent in keeping up this blog ..... it has been a busy summer along with lots of appointments and functions to go to  ...... I know, there just isn't really any excuse is there?
Well, lets hope I can make up for lost time and add a few cards for you all to have a look at.  The most of the cards will be CUP (Crafts-U-Print) cards and I will mention if it is not.  Hope you are all having a great day, and enjoy browsing.
The first two cards are Christmas Cards and were both designed by Carol Clarke from the CUP Site.  The letters in "Christmas" & little graphics are decoupaged.  All you need is to choose your base CS, cut out the decoupage and add embellisments.  I added sparkle on the holly leaves and red gems for the berries.  These are very simple, colourful and pretty - have a look at Carol's creations.

The next two cards are designed by Sheila Rodgers on the CUP Site.  They are made very similar to the Christmas Cards above.  I made my own backgrounds (Cuttlebug dotted swiss top card) and the bottom card, I took 3 colours out of the sentiment HB and made a background.  I chose my base CS for each card and proceeded to cut out the decoupage sentiments & graphics.  I did add a prima flower on each card, some pearls on the top one and pink gems on the bottom one.

The next three cards were designed by Eva Cano on the CUP Site.  Again, I made my own backgrounds behind the graphic, before adding my chosen colours of base CS.  The baby one is decoupaged and I added a little bow on the teddy bear, plus two blue gems in top corners.
I absolutely love the next card - Eva will make any name you want so if you would like cards like this, go to Eva's page and browse around.  I added 3 red gems on the dog's collar & also made this background by taking a little snippet of the plaid out of the "A" in Max.
The third card (dog on whimsical background) were both designed by Eva as well, in fact, I asked her to design me a whimsical background to put her dog "Patch" on.  What a combination - love it!   I made a yellow dotted swiss background on my Cuttlebug and finished with a thin line showing of blue base CS.  Patch has 3 gems on his colour here, as well......and Patch is 3d'd too - he's so cute in the real.  The sentiment "Hello" was cut on my Cuttlebug.

The next card is so cute made up and yes, it is all decoupaged.  This little wedding card was designed by Ceredwyn Macrae on the CUP Site ...... don't you just love these whimsical characters?  I added a frame (very thin) of the purple colour under the main graphic before putting on a base of white CS.  For embellies, I added a matching pearl in each corner and glittered some of the flowers and ribbon above the bell.

The next two cards are made by Carol Clarke (who made the above Christmas cards).  The first one is a birthday card for my sister, the white part with flowers on either end is decoupaged and for an embellie, I added a co-ordinating pearl over the "i" in Sister.
The next card, "Emerald Anniversary" plus the insert for the card below it, is made for my dear hubby.  Yes, we will be married 55 Years this month.  He doesn't use the computer so I know it is safe to post it for you to see (lol).  This card had wine bottles on it and I asked Carol if she could change the bottles to hearts......and voila!  She also put "On Our Emerald" at the top for me......the letters are all decoupaged and I printed out an extra copy to raise the hearts.  The hearts are all glittered and I added green gems here and there.  The inside is meant to go with this card and I just printed it to size then added a verse to it.  I am so pleased with this card and the designers are so willing to make us Crafters happy by doing special little things for us.

Well, that's it for now - hope you like the cards and by all means, pop over to the Crafts-U-Print Site and find some design sheets that you would like to buy.

Cuttlebug Challenges

Hello Crafters:

I have participated in a couple or three Cuttlebug Challenges on PCP (PaperCraftPlanet) and would like to share them with you.  It is amazing what one can do with the CB to help us make a creation.  I wouldn't be without mine.

I also have some CUP cards to show you but will show those in another post, perhaps in a couple days or so.

Enjoy, and have a great weekend!
The above CB Card was a black & white Challenge.  I used my
Musical embossing folder for background of dancers and added white pearls on the
bottom line of notes.  I used some Spellbinder Dies to mount and frame the
dancers on (which I stamped) and for a final embellishment,
the black/white polka dot ribbon......I love black and white!

We had to use a "negative" image here - which in my creation
are the three flowers.  I lined the jewel blue CS up in the Cuttlebug in
order to cut them out in the shape I wanted - so as I could put them
in a vase.  I only used two colours in this card (jewel blue & Silver).I
embossed a piece of silver CS (with Swiss Dots EF) and inserted under diecut flowers then
added a silver pearl in each flower.  The vase I just traced and cut out and
finally, added a silver ribbon and CB Victorian Corners.

On this challenge, we had to use our Paper Crimper and use
the Cuttlebug as well.  The GW Sentiment was cut on my Cuttlebug.
For the Paper Crimping, I chose a Design Paper and cut in
strips, then ran through the Crimper.  I proceeded to weave them, then
cut woven square  to fit my base card.  I added 3 matching pearls and
Prima flowers in the center.

.........More Cards to Share.....

Yes, I have more CUP cards to share with you.  I enjoy making these cards because of the variety (easel, teabag, etc.) and the designers are fantastic.  Have a look below to see a few of them and if you like what you see, just click on the word CUP or there is a thumbnail for CUP on my sidebar of this blog.  ENJOY!

This colourful CUP sheet was designed by Beverly McCabe.  It was sort of fun
to make, as I tried a new teabag fold (new to me) and was just a little different
from the norm.  The HB was cut on my Cricut and I added pink gems for
bling.  I chose the teal and pink for my backing/base of the final card.

This "beauty" was designed by Bodil Lundahl.  I love the colours
in this one.  The lovely lady is raised with foam pads as well
as the pretty roses.  I added a dark red pearl in each corner, added
a matching bow at the bottom & cut HB sentiment on my Cricut.

This card is lovely in the real.  The style of this card is called
"Fancy Picture 3D Card Kit", and was
designed by Anne-marie Vaux.  I printed this one out on photo paper
(Crafty Bob's of course) and the colours are absolutely vibrant.
There are the two scalloped flaps at the front with the birds
decoupaged and I added white pearls down the scalloped
edge.  The flaps & front (with saying) are all attached to the
main card which opens as normal.  I added a ribbon at the top.

This is a lovely card for many occasions, birthday, anniversary,
etc. and was designed by Nick Bowley.  I printed it out
twice so I could decoupage the roses, bow and bird.  I chose a
beige CS for the base and added pearls to match for bling.

Isn't this the cutest snowman?  I am in the process of making
12 of these for Christmas but a little smaller in size.  This cute snowman
was designed by none other than Crafty Bob, himself and features
Sassy Cheryl's 'Snowey And His Bluebird'.  He is
decoupaged with foam pads, I added some shiny snowflakes falling and
cut some evergreens on my Cuttlebug.  The snow beneath the
evergreens is sparkle snow, but difficult to see in the picture.

I made this St. Patrick's card for a dear friend in
Minnesota - and this craft sheet was designed by
Karen Adair on CUP.  The background paper I added
myself and mounted on a darker green base.  I added a bow
and green gems for embellies.  The shamrock is raised
with foam pads.

This cute little card I made for a niece that lives in
Detroit, Michigan.  The craft sheet for this card was
designed by Lorna Quinney.  I heard that my niece
liked the card very much.  A few of the items
are decoupaged and I added white pearls to give it
some bling.

This card I made for our daughter & son-in-law who had an
anniversary of 20 years.  I can't believe it!  I cut the scalloped
base on my Cricut and added 4 dark red pearls, one in
each corner.  This card has a corner pyramid buildup and gives
sort of a ripple effect.  The designer for the sheet to
make this card is Carol Clarke.  Do click on her name
and have a look at some of her other designs.

Helloooooooooooooooo......I'm Back!

Hello Crafters:

I took a bit of a rest from 'blogging' but have never stopped making cards.......so, I will upload 2 or 3 tonight and perhaps add a few more tomorrow.

By the way "Happy New Year" to ALL of you!

Most of the cards will be CUP (Crafts-U-Print) cards I made but I do have a Cuttlebug one to show you as well.  Hope you enjoy looking at them.

The above two Diva Girls were made for my two granddaughters - I was
really pleased how these turned out.  They are both designed by
Lisa Baglietto on the CUP Site.  They are both shaped cards and the same picture is
on the back-side as well.  The front of each card is 3d'd and built up with
foam pads.  I did add little gems here and there.  Click on Lisa's name and
you can see some of her other designs.

The above red/black/white card (don't you love these colours
together) is "totally" made on my Cuttlebug with some dies
I bought in the UK (they are called Marianne Dies) and I
love them.  The only thing I added was a red bow and four
red gems.

Hope Your Christmas was a Merry One!

Our family had a wonderful Christmas and hope all of you folk did as well.  We did not have a white Christmas, but that's okay as we had to travel to our daughter's for Christmas dinner.  We have since been bombarded with a good snow-fall.

I thought I would share 2-3 cards with you that I made for Christmas.....CUP cards of course.

The top two cards were designed by Sandie Burchell (designer at CUP) and are
called a "Christmas Picture Pop-Out, 3D Small Square" and come in
the form of a kit.  The instructions are very clear and really make up for
a lovely Christmas Card.  I added red gems for the holly and red gems
for decorations on the tree.  The snowman is an extra I added just to
give it a bit of a whimsical look.

Isn't this just the cutest Santa?  I had fun making this one!
Santa was designed by Mary Jane Harris at CUP.  I added white
sparkly snow on his hat/suit white parts and gold glitter to
his belt buckle.  I then added curly white hair for Santa's
beard.  Lastly, I added 3 gems to the holly on Santa's hat.
You can flip just his face/beard up and it says underneath
"You better watch out
You better not cry
You better not pout
I'm telling you why....
Santa Claus is Coming to Town"

.....Owl-ways Making Cards (lol)

Hello Crafty Folk:

I would like to share some Birthday cards I recently made and I bought them as "backgrounds" on the CUP Site.  The backgrounds are all the same but different colours.  I tried to make each one a little different.  Two of them are mounted on Spellbinder Dies - sentiments were created on my Cricut, Cuttlebug and one is computer generated.  I enlarged the owl from the background and built him up with foam pads.  .....of course I had to add googley eyes - hope you like them. The turquoise owls, I made a white strip with punched edges to mount the 3 little owls on and also added 3 black gems.

All three backgrounds were designed by Anne-marie Vaux - she does some nice/fun designs, so just click on her name and have a look around.  These cards were such fun to make.
