A Couple Cards To Share With You

Hello Crafter Friends:

The first card was for a "Cuttlebug" Challenge - we had to make it "SNOW".  The scene and snowflakes are stamped and the large snowflake was cut on my Cricut.  I added black ribbon with white on top and also added gems to the large snowflake as well as tiny ones to the small snowflakes.  There is also sparkle snow on the house, trees and large snowflake.

The second card I made for my friends at the CUP site.  It is a decoupage card and I built the pieces up with foam pads.  I then added sparkle to the "star" and also the "jewel" on Mary's head band.  The blue snowflakes have a tiny blue gem in the center of each one.

Hope you like them......Have a great day!

Isn't She Just The Cutest?

Hello Crafty Friends:
This post has nothing to do with Crafting, but I just had to share with you this lovely little 'puppy' that a dear friend of mine recently got.  Her name is "Honey" and she is shown here in the Vet's pocket.  Don't you just want to hug her?

A Few Cards I've Created Lately

Card #1
With this card, I had to follow a sketch and it happened to be a shaped card - I cut the shape on my Cricut (base card and circles).  I stamped the candle twice and raised the poinsettias - it was coloured with markers and water coloured pencils.  The embellies on the left are from Michael's and the "Merry Christmas" was from a confetti bag bought at Micahel's.  I added the red bow at the top to finish it off.

 Card #2
This card was made on my Cricut except for the butterfly which is punched (MS Punch).  I used a sky background (DP) and added a green hill in the back for grass.

 Card #3
I am so pleased with this one!  The little mouse is stamped and coloured with a marker (the hat) and the rest with water colour pencils.  This card, is a Cuttlebug Challenge and we had to use a die, a couple punches
and 3 gems plus a ribbon.  The poinsettias in the upper corner are 3d stickers I had and the Merry Christmas is from a package of Christmas confetti.

Well, Christmas isn't far off and I am well started now - have about 40 cards made.  Hope you all are having a happy crafting time and getting in the swing for the Holiday Season.  Thanks for stopping to look.

A Few Cards to Share With You

These are all CUP cards I have made recently.......1) Thinking of you, the butterfly is popped with sticky pads and I added rhinestones for a little glitter. 2) Happy Birthday Corvette, this happens to be my favourite car in my younger years (lol) and the balloons, champagne bottle & front chrome are raised with sticky pads.  I added some glitter here and there to give it some sparkle.  3) Happy Birthday Butterflies - this one is so pretty in the real.  The background and the butterflies are sheets from CUP and I added rhinestones to give it some sparkle.  The sentiment was cut on my Cricut.....and both butterflies are raised with sticky pads.  4) Good Luck - I love how this made up and is so cute!  The sentiment, clover and little bee are all raised with sticky pads.  I added a little sparkle to the bee's wings and 3 green stick-on pearls.  Hope you like them - they were fun to make.

Cuttlebug Challenges

I would like to share my last two CB Challenges with you, last week's was from a sketch and this week's had to be an "All White" wedding card.  Last week for the sketch challenge, I chose to make a Christmas card and add it to my stash for this Christmas.  This week, for the All White wedding card, we had to heat & emboss (my sentiment), use embossing folders, diecuts and add any embellies you would like - I added the polka-dot white ribbon.

I also did another Sketch Challenge, so will show you that as well.  I used Basic Grey Background and a Sarah Kay stamp, which I coloured with copics. Thanks for looking!

Welcome to Myrt's Crafty Corner

This is my very first "Post" on my new blog "Myrt's Crafty Corner.  I have been making cards for years (being disabled, it is a lifeline) but having been disabled for 12 years, I cannot make cards at the rate I used to.  I now tend to use my Cricut and Cuttlebug - they can cut and emboss a lot easier than my hands will.  Although, I still try my hand at stamping and colouring but not as often.

I also joined Crafts-U-Print and make cards for them but only as many as my hands will allow me to do.  I have met a lot of nice folk there and if you have never visited the site, you must have a look http://www.craftsuprint.com/.  They have some wonderful designers and card makers there.

I also belong to Paper Craft Planet and I like to participate in the Cuttlebug Challenge there.

I will not be posting every day but would like to show you my new items as they are made.

I would like to show you two of my favourite cards from Crafts-U-Print 1) Guard at Buckingham Palace and a Wedding Card I entered into a challenge on CUP.  I have just sent this Wedding Card to a nephew's son that is getting married the end of next week.

There isn't much to look at as of yet, but as time goes on, you can stay awhile and browse around.  Enjoy.
